22 Best Gifts That Moms Actually Want for Mother’s Day 2023
So I have been a mommy for almost 12 years, and I still do not consider myself a professional (at it). Mommin' ain't easy! However, I have been a maternal figure to many throughout my career and family. Through my experiences, I have solid suggestions for gifts on Mother's Day. So, of course, I am including things I have on my wish list.

Side note: I asked on social media to see what gifts mothers preferred to come up with this list also.
Mother's Day Gifts for the Tired Mommy
I am her, and she is me. I am TIRED! So if you or the mommy you have in mind are feeling the same, try one from this list.
A Day in Bed With Sleep Accessories: The kiddos and meals are taken care of by someone else other than Mommy. Throw in a new pair of house slippers, a luxurious robe and blanket, and an eye mask set for a day of leisure and rest.
Spa Day With a Manicure/ Pedicure Included ( Or Spa Day Feeling at Home): Moms often put everyone else's needs before their own ( I know I am guilty). A spa day gift can allow mom to unwind, relax, and care for her well-being.
Weekend Getaway: Singing "Take me away (take me away), a secret place (a secret place), a sweet escape" in my Natasha Bedingfield voice (because Pocket Full of Sunshine is her song and my sunny day car ride red light jam).
Clean Up or Hire a Cleaning Service: Ok, you know why.
Aromatherapy: A diffuser with essential oils, candles, room sprays, and body sprays are simple gifts that enhance the environment and mood.
Mother's Day Gifts with a Self-Care Focus
Uninterrupted Me-moments: Again, you know why.
A Diffuser ( see number five above): A diffuser works as a little air humidifier that gently adds moisture to improve the nose, lungs, and skin while upgrading the ambiance.
Self-care Book/Journal: You can also opt for a personalized journal for that extra touch of thoughtfulness.
Tumbler: Get a tumbler to promote drinking more water. Hydration is a fantastic gift someone can give themselves. It helps our skin, mood, health, and energy.
Loungewear: Giving Mommy the gift of cozy comfort with loungewear is a must after a long day. Skip the sweatpants and make sure that style is included.
Mother's Day Gifts for the Plant Lover
My Very Rare Silver Sword Philodendron and “Proud Plant Parent” Planter
Garden/ Flowerbed: Go outside, tackle the weeds, and plant some flowers.
House Plants: There are so many beautiful houseplants to choose from. Ok, go ahead and go all out and get a Birkin (houseplant)! It is about 0.5% of the price of the handbag, in case you were wondering.
Side note: I have a mathematical mind. I hoped you would not ask me how I figured out that percentage so quickly 😊.
Cute Planters/ Plant Stands: Plant babies need a perfect planter to show off their growth.
Flower/ Plant Subscription Box: Y'all, consider this new luxury where fresh flowers and plants can be delivered to your doorstep. Besides being pretty, flowers can boost your mood. Many subscription services are available that range in price, but this is a gift that keeps giving. Sign me up because I am working on my home jungle!

Practical Gifts for Mother's Day
Gift Cards: Ok, I love a gift card to my favorite store or one I can use anyway where. By the way, this is a mommy favorite based on my messages.
Gadgets: Kitchen, tech, beauty, and more categories include items that would make great and usable gifts.
Finish that Honey-Do list: Go ahead and combine this one with another gift because how long has this been an active list 👀?
Kid-Created/ Arts and Crafts Gifts: Handprint, fingerprint, and footprint art are always great keepsakes.
Photo Album: Fill the album with pictures of Mom's memories for a sentimental touch.
Unique Gifts for Moms on Mother's Day
There are so many wonderful traditional gifts like cards, flowers, perfume, and chocolate, but let's get creative! Here is a list of some unique gift ideas you can give on Mother's Day.
Artwork: Pick a piece of artwork that reflects Mommy's interest. You could shop for a unique picture, painting, or sculpture.
Cooking Class: This can be a fun way to bond and spend family time together. By the way, I wrote a blog post about Family Bonding Activities to Strengthen Connections that you will enjoy if you are looking for some activities to do together as a family.
Customized Jewelry: Jewelry is a timeless gift. Adding the customization with a birthstone, initials, name, or personal message can make it extremely special.
Of course, this is a general but not an exhaustive list! But this gives you some ideas and motivation to shop for the mommies you love! Consider the personality of the mom you are shopping for and put some thought into what will bring about a smile on Mother's Day ( and beyond). And for my mommy friends reading the blog, let your people know exactly what you like. You can start by sending them this list ( to increase these blog analytics ) as a starting point. Anyway, let me know in the comments below what gift makes you feel loved and appreciated on Mother's Day.
Until next time remember to mark your life with beauty
(have a fantastic Mother's Day)!
