Bold | Leopard Print and Green
I have an admission; I love animal print. Before animal print became a fashion staple, royals owned and wore skins to signify wealth and power. Now, you can find animal print beyond fashion in home decor and jewelry. But, in my wardrobe, one animal print truly stands out; the leopard print.

What is Leopard Print?
Leopard print is an imitation of animal print on fabric made to look like the actual skin of a leopard. It is easily found in a traditional neutral color palette of black, brown, off-white, and caramel.
How to Wear Leopard Print
So, let’s talk about leopard print! When we think of leopard print, most know that neutral colors like brown, black, cream, and red work well. But what if I told you that leopard was also neutral? No, I am not the originator of this idea, but I live by it in fashion. Wearing leopard print with the idea of being neutral makes it easier to pull it out of the closet and get dressed.
Style tips: Here is a short list of how to wear leopard print.
If you are new to wearing leopard print, keep it simple: Leopard print is bold. You could pair it with neutral solid colors like black, white, or beige. This keeps it simple and can balance your outfit.
If you aren’t sure how to wear leopard print, use it as an accent: If you are uncomfortable wearing an entire leopard print outfit, try adding it in as an accent with accessories like a scarf, shoes, earrings, or a handbag to get used to wearing it and sprinkling it into your wardrobe.
Mix leopard print with other patterns: Leopard print can be mixed with different patterns. However, for a more subtle look, make sure the patterns are in the same color family and proportionate in size to avoid clashing unless that is your intention.
Dress it up or down: Leopard print is versatile and can be dressed up or down; pair it with heels and a blazer or sneakers and denim.
Types of Leopard Print
All leopard prints are not the same. Now you find leopard print in other colors like pink, red, and grey, to name a few, where only the leopard skin pattern is used. I own a closet full of leopard print colors. But today, we are focusing on the neutral-colored leopard print. It is elegant and versatile, and the dark rosette pattern is effortless to wear and looks fantastic with most colors. Remember, the leopard print pattern size may also vary depending on the garment or accessory. Ok, so if you can not tell by this post, I have a thing for leopard print.
Leopard Print and Green
When it comes to fashion, when was the last time you stepped out of your comfort zone? And when was the last time you paired a pattern with a pop of color? Well, if your answer is never, I suggest you try it.
My favorite way to wear a leopard (animal) print is to pair it with bright, bold colors.
Style tip: Pair leopard print with a single vibrant color.
One color that works well with leopard print is green. Now, y’all know I would find a way to throw my favorite color in the mix. But seriously, green is also versatile and stylish. You could pair leopard print with olive for a sophisticated and subdued look. And you could pair it with emerald or neon green for a bold and fashion-forward moment.
Sign me up for the fashion-forward moment. I love styling leopard print this way! The bold green dress is used to take attention from the leopard print shoes and the shirt. It is a great way to tone it down to a neutral pattern.
Now, all I need is a lime green suit to pair with the leopard print, and you will not be able to tell me that I am not just as (fashionably) fierce as the leopard this print is inspired by. So what do you think? Do you consider leopard print as neutral? And would you pair it together with green? Let me know in the comments below.
Until next time, remember to mark your life with beauty!
