Brandon Blackwood Kendrick Trunk Bags Review
I added another bag (or two) to my collection a few months ago, and I am in love. My first love is a beautiful leather handbag. Yes, leather. And I also love sharing Black Owned Businesses on my platforms. So today, in celebration of what I call Melanin March, I bring you Brandon Blackwood!

Brandon Blackwood Kendrick Trunk Bag
I have been a fan of Brandon Blackwood for some time. So much so that I sent a DM about a recent drop because I was trying to give him all my coins for the ESR (End Systemic Racism) vases. My plant babies would be beautiful in those vases, but they sold out almost instantly. In case you are unfamiliar, Brandon Blackwood is a black-owned luxury brand that crafts contemporary bags and accessories.
The Brandon Blackwood Kendrick Trunk comes in two sizes and various colors and materials. First, of course, I had to share the Kendrick Trunk unboxing on YouTube, as there has been an update on hardware textiles and materials.
To date, I have purchased three handbags from this brand. In addition, I unboxed a Mini Kendrick Trunk in pink, and, in a separate video, I unboxed the standard-size Kendrick Trunk.
I purchased my most recent Kendrick Trunk bag during Trunk Week 2022 from BrandonBlackwood.com. At the time, the trunks were only available for purchase this week and quickly sold out. This bag is in true green leather with brass hardware. The leather is soft and supple. It is a standard-sized trunk bag with an adjustable and removable shoulder strap. Also, the bag features a brass letter B clasp at the top for fastening with brass feet on the bottom.
With the dimension of 7.5″ W x 6″H x 3″ D and a crossbody strap of 21 "-23.5", this bag is perfect for those who love unique structured bags with space for essentials plus a few additional items. For example, I could fit my phone, keys, lipstick, and card case in my trunk bag. And like I say in the video, it is absolutely fabulous! I purchased my Trunk for $285.
The Kendrick Trunk Bag Unboxing
First, let's look at the packaging. The Trunk arrived in a sturdy custom box, and I love my handbags to be in boxes. It elevates the experience of opening the purse ( by the way, I say pocketbook, too) and makes me happy.
The recent packaging updates include foam and a heavy cotton dust bag to ensure the bag's limited movement. It also helps the bag maintains its shape without being damaged. There is also an envelope with a cute signed card that contains the receipt.
How to Style the Brandon Blackwood Kendrick Trunk
So let's get into fashion by styling an outfit around the true green Kendrick Trunk. Since the Trunk is a classic structured bag, I decided to keep the look relaxed. I paired my Trunk with a green and white geometric slip dress from Target and green and white Versace sneakers. Next, I added a black leather moto jacket from Mango to create an edgier look.
Style tip: A (genuine) leather moto jacket is a closet staple. It is a versatile transitional piece and the perfect way to pull an outfit together. It adds a fashion-forward element that can elevate your style.

I went back and forth on sharing this unboxing on my blog. But I wanted to share this experience here because whether you know it or not, you were a big part of it. This unboxing video was one of my first Youtube videos only a few months ago. I want to celebrate the growth and success of my work over the past few months. Thinking about how much has changed and what I have learned in just a short time makes me incredibly proud. I wanted everything to be perfect and to have all of the answers before I started with my Youtube and blog, but I have learned and experienced the beauty of creating and building my own space; while figuring it out as I go!
