Velour Pink Jumpsuit with Versace Sneakers

I love to wear prints and vibrant colors (especially green) to express my style! A bonus is when I can throw in texture to spice up an outfit. Some unexpected color combinations have taken the fashion industry by storm. One of these trending color combinations is pink and green.

Can You Wear Pink and Green Together?

Of course, you can! And it works due to the colors being directly opposite each other on the color wheel. They are complementary colors, and they balance each other visually. But know this, the pink and green color combination is not for the faint of heart. It is bold, colorful, and in high contrast. Fashion is a way to creatively express yourself while displaying your confidence in choices by cultivating unique ensembles. Wearing pink and green together is a way to elevate your style instantly.

Are Pink and Green Fashion Items Hard to Find?

Well, they used to be! Have you heard of the term unicorn when referencing fashion items, i.e., handbags, etc.? First, let’s define a unicorn item.

What is a unicorn item? A unicorn item is something rare that you long to own.

Well, the pink and green combination was my unicorn. I remember finding my beloved color combo in Talbots and Chicos while shopping with my mother. At the time, was I their target demographic? No! But they had pink and green in numerous patterns and fabrics. So we purchased every twin set and wrap available! A bonus is they offer fantastic textiles, and due to the quality of their garments, they last a while.

Fast forward to today, the once hard-to-find pink and green combination can be found everywhere, from Target to Gucci.

How to Wear Pink and Green

Wearing pink and green has to be intentional. However, by looking at the color wheel, you can experiment with various shades of these colors to find a combination that speaks to your style.

An easy way to wear this pairing is by color blocking. Here, the proportions ( how much of each color) and shades work together to create the perfect pairings. For example, consider wearing green pants with a pink blouse and shoes or vice versa. Remember, green is my thing! But if you are not a green fan (side eye) and still want to wear this color combination, try rocking an all-pink look and add green accessories.

Another way to wear pink and green is to find items where the pattern uses color combinations. Then, of course, you can always add denim to the mix for an effortless way to include this pairing in your arsenal of outfits.

Wearing Victor Glemaud for Target in Pink and Green

So (again) here is a weekend look where I paired a bell-sleeve velour jumpsuit in pink with an unexpected sneaker in green and white.

Side note: What I love most about this jumpsuit is its ease. It is a one-and-done complete look! Of course, the fit and texture of the fabric make this a winner. I can also dress it up, belt it, etc. But the best thing is that this jumpsuit is comfortable!

So what do you think? Are you ready to wear this color combination? Please let me know in the comments below.

Until next time, remember to mark your life with beauty!
