Girls Trip: Beyoncé Bound

Okay, here is another thing to know about me: I love music! "I love music.

Any kind of music" ( in my O'Jays voice), and I enjoy several different genres. You might have noticed I have recently been on the concert tour circuit and enjoyed every minute. These experiences are most memorable because I have been sharing them with my mini-me. So, my bestie and I celebrated and surprised our daughters with concert tickets. We were Beyoncé Bound!

The Beyoncé Renaissance Concert Recap

Y'all, our girl's trip to see Beyoncé was beyond amazing! Initially, there were storms in the forecast, but it ended up being a beautiful night in the open-air stadium. We saw Beyoncé. "Yeah, unapologetic when" I keep saying that we saw Beyoncé, but we did so, ha! The show was spectacular. Beyoncé looked beautiful and sounded phenomenal. Her vocal technique is something to study due to her ability to hold notes, complete phrases, and run with minimal breathing while switching from falsetto to low-pitch chest voice!

Beyoncé snatched souls and gave them back, but that was not the best part! The best part was looking at my daughter. I could see a JOY in mini-me eyes that I can not honestly describe in words. She saw someone who looked like her dominating the stage, packing the stadium, and killing it! She was awestruck, inspired, and proud! ( I was too.) Although we did not get to see Blue Ivy perform, the little ones represented dancing her part during the show! It was amazing to see, so much so that I did not get a picture or video of my daughter's face because we were both in the moment (and also in formation)! Do you see what I did there? Anyway, I cherish having these experiences with her and will remember them for years to come!

So in other words, We had a time!! And yes, I did dance like I "came up out of the South "because I did!

Outfits for the Beyoncé Renaissance Tour

Let's get into fashion by mentioning what we wore to the Beyoncé concert. By the way, if you want to know how to choose what to wear to a show, I can help. Check out my previous post, where I share 5 Outfit Ideas, Considerations, and Tips to Try when choosing what to wear to a concert. Anyway, I obsessively checked the weather forecast to ensure the rain would pass us by! I was so happy it did, although we were prepared with our matching blue emergency rain ponchos. And my clear hobo trimmed in green (of course, and clear due to stadium requirements) was ready to do its job, just in case!

My mini-me opted for a glitter sleeveless ruched mini dress with a white crop top t-shirt ( she said she wanted to wear coral to match her favorite sneakers) and sparkly Converse; My Goddaughter wore a black one-sleeved bodysuit with an army green mini skirt and black and white converse; My bestie wore a sleeveless coral blouse with a dramatic shoulder with a pair of distressed jeans and the cutest COACH sneakers, and I wore a sleeveless green sequin dress, green Swarovski Lucent hoop earrings, and green and turquoise Jordans (one of my Mother's Day gifts). We were so cute! Our outfits deserve an "Applause, a round of applause"! Oh yeah, I bought some more of the Mosquito repellent bands you can wear on your wrist and legs, and they worked well.

By the way, I am still in music bliss recovery because I attend Beyoncé and Erykah Badu (my favorite artist) concerts during the same week. More to come on that later.

Anyway, let me know in the comments if you have recently been to a concert or what you plan on wearing if you are attending one soon. In other words, what is your go-to concert outfit?

Until next time, remember to mark your life with beauty!
